India’s Legal Position on Online Gaming/Gambling

Online gaming/gambling laws in India prohibit betting or wagering, as well as any activity intended to aid or facilitate these activities. Online gambling in India is governed by state laws, so each state has its own gambling laws. It would be an offence in another state if what is allowed satta king was an offense in another. The Indian Public Gambling Act, 1867, is the central legislation on the subject, which has been adopted by a number of states in India, including Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Madhya Pradesh, Delhi, Mumbai, etc. Each of the other States has enacted legislation to regulate Satta King in India activities within its borders.
